When you read about those remarkable occurrences you might have noticed that there is no perceivable rule that will easily determine the future of a player just by looking at his or her past results.

Of course you need talent, passion, good health, work ethics, etc. and this will help you to be successful but at the end it depends on so many factors, that you cannot just take the win of Orange Bowl or another junior tournament to determine the future.

If you know of other good examples of non-achievements please post them in the comments.
